How Do Villages Work?

Members pay an annual membership fee to gain access to resources and social connections that enable them to live at home.  Resources provided by Davidson Village Network include a vetted list of professional service providers who give a discounted price to Village members for such things as transportation, yard work, bookkeeping, housekeeping, home repairs and more.  In many cases, volunteers provide these services at no cost, depending on availability and ability.

Why Are Villages Important to Older Adults and Their Families?

The Village is a low-cost way to live at home and delay going to a costly senior living facility.  It also fosters social connections and friendships that keep members engaged in their community.  Members of the Davidson Village Network are thereby better enabled to lead healthy, productive lives.
